Awards Ceremony 2023
The Craft Spirits Berlin Awards ceremony is the highlight of the competition. It’s the place where interested parties meet industry experts and producers – an exciting get-together of the international craft distillers scene. The just awarded artisanal spirits can be tasted directly after the awards ceremony. This way, you can personally approve the jury’s decisions on the award-winning distilleries. The event is open to the public. Tickets are 15 euros and can be purchased in advance.

Awarded Craft Spirits at KaDeWe
In the days leading up to the award ceremony, you will have the opportunity to taste awarded artisanal spirits. In cooperation with Craft Spirits Berlin, KaDeWe will honor award winners of recent years in a pop-up on 6th floor. The focus is on Mezcal Alipus from Mexico, Distilleria Gualco from Italy, Edelbrand Stauffenberg and Apros Black Forest Vermouth from Germany, Destillerie Farthofer from Austria and Capreolus Distillery from England.
For a selected group of experts and KaDeWe customers, Theo Ligthart, co-founder of the Craft Spirits Berlin Awards and head of Freimeisterkollektiv, will present a sensory tasting in the famous department store’s wine bar on March 1st from noon to 2 p.m.

World’s Best Craft Distilleries in Berlin Bars
In the days leading up to the awards ceremony, eight Berlin based bars invite you to experience handcrafted spirits. Together with World’s Best Craft Distilleries 2022, the bar teams will develop unique craft cocktails. Producers who have won three gold medals within three years will be crowned “World’s Best Craft Distilleries”.
Last year, these were the Birkenhof Brennerei from Westerwald, Heiner’s Destillate from Zug, Switzerland, the Kuenz Naturbrennerei from East Tyrol, Austria, Mozers Spirit from Württemberg, the Baumgartner Hausbrennerei from Baden and the Spezialitäten-Brennerei & Whisky-Destillerie Liebl from the Bavarian Forest. The pleasant task of showcasing premium quality is taken on by Bürkner Eck and Herr Lindemann in Neukölln, Beckett’s Kopf and Kink Bar in Prenzlauer Berg, Green Door Bar in Schöneberg, Beavis Bar in Mitte, Lovis Bar in Charlottenburg, and Goldfisch Bar in Friedrichshain.
